Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

At Nura Ventures, we want our customers to have a positive shopping experience. This Returns and Refunds Policy explains how returns, exchanges and refunds are handled for products purchased from our online store.

This policy applies to products including perfumes and fragrances, jewellery, clothing, accessories and other retail products sold by Nura Ventures.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that consumers may have under applicable South African law.

1. Online Cooling-Off Period

For qualifying online transactions, consumers may have a statutory right to cancel the transaction without giving a reason within 7 days after receiving the goods, subject to the applicable provisions and exclusions under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Where this statutory cooling-off right applies, the customer is responsible only for the direct cost of returning the goods.

The goods must be returned to Nura Ventures in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

Where a valid cooling-off cancellation is exercised, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law.

2. Returns for Change of Mind

Outside of any statutory cooling-off right, Nura Ventures does not provide automatic returns simply because a customer has changed their mind, ordered the wrong size, no longer wants the product, or found the product cheaper elsewhere.

However, nothing in this section removes any consumer rights provided by South African law.

For clothing and other products where Nura Ventures voluntarily agrees to an exchange, the item must be unused, unworn and in its original condition, with original tags and packaging where applicable.

Any voluntary exchange is subject to product availability.

3. Perfumes and Fragrances

For hygiene, safety and product-integrity reasons, perfumes and fragrances that have been opened, sprayed, used or removed from their original sealed packaging generally cannot be accepted as voluntary change-of-mind returns.

This does not affect any statutory consumer rights that may apply where a product is defective, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements.

If you believe a perfume or fragrance is defective or was supplied incorrectly, contact us before using the product further.

4. Jewellery

Jewellery that has been worn, altered, damaged, scratched or otherwise used may not qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return.

Where a jewellery item is defective, damaged on arrival, incorrect or does not correspond with the product description, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate the issue.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.

5. Clothing

For voluntary exchanges that Nura Ventures agrees to accept, clothing must be:

Unworn

Unwashed

Undamaged

Free from perfume, makeup, stains or other marks

Returned with original tags and packaging where applicable

Customers should check the product size information carefully before ordering.

If the wrong item was sent, the item is defective, or the item does not correspond with the description provided on our website, please contact us.

6. Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

Your order number

Your name and contact details

A description of the issue

Photographs of the item received

Photographs of the packaging and shipping label where relevant

We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, exchange or refund in accordance with applicable law.

7. Damaged Products

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your product appears to have been damaged during delivery, contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs showing the damage and packaging.

We may request photographs or other information to assist with investigating the issue.

Where a product is defective or fails to meet applicable legal requirements, the customer's statutory rights remain applicable.

8. Defective Products

If a product is defective, unsafe, not of good quality, not reasonably suitable for its intended purpose, or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer protection requirements, please contact us.

Under the Consumer Protection Act, qualifying goods carry an implied warranty of quality, and within six months after delivery, a consumer may in qualifying circumstances return defective goods without penalty and at the supplier's risk and expense. The applicable remedy may include repair, replacement or refund as provided by law.

South Africa Government +1

This statutory protection is separate from any voluntary change-of-mind return policy.

9. Products That Have Been Used or Damaged

Where a customer has used, altered or damaged a product, this may affect the customer's rights where the damage or failure resulted from the customer's actions or failure to follow reasonable instructions.

This does not prevent a customer from exercising any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. How to Request a Return

To request a return or report a problem with an order, contact:

Nura Ventures

Email: [email protected]

Phone: 061 248 5863

Please include:

Your full name

Order number

Product name

Date of purchase

Reason for the return or complaint

Photographs where relevant

We may ask for additional information to assess the request.

11. Return Shipping

Where a return is required because of a defective, incorrect or otherwise qualifying product, return arrangements and costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

For a statutory online cooling-off cancellation, the consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, as provided by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

For voluntary exchanges or returns that are not required by law, any return delivery costs will be agreed with the customer before the return is processed.

12. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, the refund will normally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time taken for the refund to appear in the customer's account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

Where a statutory refund is required, Nura Ventures will process it within the period required by applicable law.

13. Exchanges

Where an exchange is voluntarily offered by Nura Ventures, the replacement item will be subject to availability.

If the requested replacement is unavailable, we may offer another appropriate remedy where applicable.

Statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.

14. Sale and Promotional Items

Sale and promotional items are still covered by applicable consumer protection laws.

A discounted price does not remove a customer's statutory rights where goods are defective, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

Any additional voluntary return conditions for a particular promotion will be clearly communicated before purchase.

15. Proof of Purchase

Customers should retain their order confirmation, invoice, receipt or other proof of purchase.

We may request proof of purchase when processing a return, exchange or refund.

16. No Waiver of Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right or remedy that a consumer has under applicable South African law.

Where a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection requirement, the applicable law will take precedence.
